Now that OS X Yosemite has been released to the wild, you may notice the Citrix Receiver has issues after adding a new account and/or launching apps from the client interface. In this blog post I am going to go over the issue and fix for the issue. You will receive the following error when authenticating after setting a new account in the Citrix Receiver or launching the application from the client interface.
The issue happens with Citrix Receiver for Mac version 11.8.2 after upgrading to OS X Yosemite. Applications will launch fine from the Citrix Receiver for Web.

If you have an older version installed, please upgrade to the newest version. If you are connecting from a network other than IllinoisNet or the residence halls (e.g. Apartment, parents home, etc.) you'll need to connect to the Technology Services VPN service before using Citrix. Use 'citrix.engr.illinois.edu' without quotes in the server address field and click 'next'. When the login screen appears, use your netid. The password is your campus AD password. OR If your netID alone doesn't work type 'uofi ' without quotes followed by your netid. The password is your campus AD password. The receiver will ask if it can make changes to the computer to optimize access to 'ENGR', click yes. On the left side of the receiver application, click on the '+' symbol, followed by all applications to add applications to the main window.
Once an application is in the main window, you can click it to launch. Citrix applications will by default store items in your EWS storage account. Additionally they can store and access stored locally on the machine you are connecting to Citrix from.
