Product Information. This wireless headset is designed by Logitech itself to give you the best feeling while playing. It has ear-cups, which embrace your ear completely. Thus you do not need to worry about disturbing sounds from outside. It comes with the color black and the compatible brand is universal. Furthermore the plug type is USB.
Also to mention are that features this headset has. You can control the volume, have a microphone and therefore also a microphone mute button. As mentioned before you have a noise cancellation, thus you are able to concentrate on the game you are playing.
Refurbished G930 headset was pretty good! This is my 3rd G930 headset. The first 2 I had the notorious issue where it would beep then cut out and a few seconds later it would cut back in. My first set finally wore out and I really liked the headset simply because no other that I have been able to find has the programmable macro keys on the side of the headset.
I like to use them as the PTT for Ventrillo so that way when I get up and walk around I can still talk to the people that I am gaming with. I have looked far and wide and have not been able to find any other headset that offers this, so because of that I have put up with the occasional connection dropping.
My second set finally wore out as I use them a lot and put them through some serious abuse. The left hear bracket finally broke causing the ear cup to just dangle. Luckily I still had my first pair tucked away. I ordered a refurbished set of g930s as I did not want to spend 90 dollars for a new pair again. Anyway I used my old original pair till my new ones came in. The one thing I noticed is that Logitech must have fixed that dropping in and out issue as I noticed that I had not disconnected once during the whole day with my old set.
So when my new pair came in I noticed the same thing. I have noticed that they are not losing connection anymore. So I will cross my fingers and hope that this issue is finally resolved as I know for years this was the biggest complaint by people about this headset.
Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Refurbished. Miss the Morph After watching some cool YouTube clips on the Morphing abilities of this headset, I went ahead and purchased one just for that feature alone.
Sadly, Logitech cut out this feature from the current driver download. Other than that, if you are just going to use it as a consumer headset, not a gaming headset, it is probably fine. The crippling of the Morph feature was a sad mistake on the part of Logitech. I'm using it currently has a VOIP headset and to listen to songs on my computer. At least it is useful for something. I gave it 3 Stars instead of something less due to headset works fine for those things. There is an older driver that is supposed to work, although I couldn't get my headset to be recognized by the older driver when I tried it.
Forum users also mention that the older drivers are buggy and therefore I went back to the current driver which worked, but no Morphing. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Refurbished. New may be better than going used but other than that great item I enjoy the headset very much. Sound is awesome. Surround sound is great through a headset. I would recommend this headset based on these alone.
Also the voice morphing is pretty funny. The cons are possibly related to me buying used, however I'll list them anyway. Firstly I don't get the greatest battery life for long term gaming however it is very cool that you can just plug into usb while using the headset and it will charge. Also, I discovered an issue with one of the earpieces. If the headset was removed and the earpiece was allowed to rotate inward the headset would automatically shut off. I am always the curious type so I opened the headset and checked it out.
Decided I didnt know what to look for but when I put it back together the problem corrected itself so that was nice. Aside f rom those two I can't say I'm unhappy with this headset. Love the mute feature built into the boom. Able to mute just by lifting the boom which is nice.
I would buy this if you want a decently-priced wireless headset. This is a very nice pair of headphones.
I'll try to make this pro vs con for a while. Pros -The headset sounds great. Very good for games.
Music sounds nice too, I actually listen to music with them a LOT more than before I had them. They're not the best you could find though, don't overestimate them. But they're still very good. You bought this cuz you're a gamer, right?

Well you'll be pleased to know that sound whoring works very well in most games, as far back as Unreal Tournament 2004 (which actually works with the 7.1 quite nicely) and up to the latest call of duty games (except for Black Ops 2's footsteps, because we're still trying to figure out if they exist or not). The 7.1 is a little. At first to hear, but it that's only for about 5 mi nutes. If you're using skype, there's no problems. If you're using teamspeak, simply go to options - playback and choose 'transform mono to center sound if available' and you're all set. I don't know if ventrilo or mumble have this feature however, so you're out of luck for 7.1 if those are echoey. The headset can be LOUD.
You'll most likely have to lower most of your games. It makes EVERYTHING extremely loud. You'll find yourself lowering your game volume a LOT if you're anything like me. Don't be surprised if you end up putting game audio at 5% and still hear it clear as day. This helps with a cinematic experience for single player games and for hearing the finer things in multiplayer games too, should you want to raise your volume for that purpose. The battery life is GREAT. I've gotten almost 11 hours off a full charge almost all the time.
Don't overcharge it though, or it'll break the battery, I believe. The wireless range is exactly as they stated. Sometimes it can go further, but not very often. At the edges if you stay still it is very unlikely to drop the connection, but moving around near the outer ring of connectivity range is a recipe for constant drops. But this is negligible since using it at the end of its range is not what you're aiming to do usually.
The G keys are quite useful. I usually use them to pause/play/skip music tracks, but you can set them for in-game things if you wish and they're all-around a nice addition. Rotating the mic upward is a nice feature to mute, but you can also hit a button at the side to mute it. The software also has a nice equalizer to custom set what you want if that's what you wish. Cons -The software can be retarded at times.
It does not always work right, and if you're on Windows 7 (and I would presume Vista and 8 have this issue as well) you need to launch the program as admin for it to realize your headset is even plugged in if VAC is on. It sometimes sticks the battery counter on 'fully charged' and you don't know how much time is left. If the headset drops out of wireless range, the sidetone setting resets to 10, and the mic will be un-muted when it reconnects.
Some games do not like 7.1 audio. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one that comes to mind. It would have been better if it had a 5.1 setting as well, similar to the Corsair Vengeance 2000s, but alas, it does not. You just gotta live with it or go stereo.
In teamspeak, sometimes no sound comes from people, and you must switch to stereo and back to make things work. I hope this explains most of what you would want to know about it! It's a great headset and the software alone was what cost it the 5 stars.
Logitech Headset G930 Software
Logitech is one of the biggest names in the computing peripherals industry. The company develops peripherals and accessories for PCs, from standard mice to gaming headsets, Logitech has been dishing out great computing gear for many years now.
There are some high-end gaming mice by the company but we don’t really talk about anything else except gaming headsets here. Yes, we’re only dedicated to reviewing the best gaming headsets industry has to offer for all platforms including PCs and Consoles. Today, we have one of Logitech’s high-end and top of the line gaming headset, Logitech G930 wireless headset, which according to the company is the best in its price range.
We’re sure you won’t take the company’s word for it, so we took it for a rigorous test drive and this review is going to express our feelings regarding the Logitech G930. If you’re looking for a new gaming headset for your PC then keep on reading to find out if this is the perfect headset for you or not. Audio Quality This is where the G930 really excels, the audio quality is top notch. We couldn’t ask for any better. In this price range, the G930 comes out on top.
To top that off, The Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound gives you one of the most immersive experience in gaming, it’s like you’re hearing it from all directions. When playing a shooter, you’ll hear bullets flying past you from different directions, approaching footsteps, etc. I even enjoyed playing Fifa with it because the whole game play experience was enhanced with such an immersive sound quality.
That’s not it, it’s not just great for gaming but watching movies/TV shows, Music, other sporting events, and even chatting with friends/family feels much better with it. The clear and crisp audio enhances all types of sounds and provides you with a richer experience. Though when listening to certain Bass-heavy songs we noticed that the G930 lacks a bit when it comes to bass, the bass isn’t that strong in the headphone but as a gaming headset that shouldn’t be much of a problem to gamers. Design Out of the box, you’ll get two different pieces of equipment. One wireless transmitter and the headset itself.
The transmitter resembles a USB flash drive but is a bit larger in size and circular which also serves as the wrap for the microUSB cable that comes with the headphone. The headphone itself looks a bit bulky and heavy at first but it’s really comfortable and can be used for 2-3 hours continuously without feeling any discomfort at all. The earcups are soft and comfortable and fit rather nicely on each ear, at least we didn’t get any uncomforting feeling while testing the unit for 2-3 hours.
Though, the headband could’ve been more comfortable if the company had added a cushion, it has a thin soft padding but a better cushion would’ve been even better because some might feel some sort of discomfort with the thin padding. All the control buttons are on the left earcup. The volume wheel, mic mute button, three customizable keys, Dolby switch, and the Power key. There’s also a microUSB port on the bottom of the earcup that’s used for charging the headphone. It can also be used while charging though that will affect the charging time greatly.
The overall look of the G930 is a little dated it has to be said, but that adds a certain retro charm I feel. Performance First of all, the company claims that the G930 can provide up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Well, that’s not just a hollow claim instead we tested the headset and it definitely passed our battery test with flying colors. Even though the headset gave us 10-hours of battery life but when the battery gets low, it just shuts down without any warning. We would’ve preferred a beep or some kind of signal indicating the power’s running low.
Another great thing about the G930 is its amazing wireless range. It’s difficult for wireless headphones to live up to their range claims but this particular headset works for up to 40 feet without any distortions or audio cuts.
We didn’t have any other 2.4GHz wireless device interfering with the signal so maybe, a few wireless devices might affect the range by a small margin but we assume that won’t be the case. We tried moving from one place to another and noticed no lag or signal drop in the connection. The noise cancelling microphone provides a much better experience when chatting, especially during a game when you’re in a noisy environment. The voice was clear and sounded very natural. When you want to mute the mic, just put it back in an upright position and it will mute automatically.
I am looking for bug tracking software that runs locally on mac os x. Ideally it would have an easy to user user interface. Additional Clarification: I am looking for installable tools. 10 free and open source bug tracking software options. Some of these systems are designed exclusively to track bugs, while others are more robust solutions that can help you track multiple phases of your development projects. All are free to use. This bug tracking software is extremely flexible and customizable, so you can adjust to your development team's terminology. Having the options to use any one of your favorite modern day browsers is a plus for Mac users looking to use our bug tracking system.
Setup The Logitech G930 supports Windows Vista, 7, and 8. You can use it as a standard headset on earlier Windows versions or even Mac but if you want to take full advantage of the headsets’ capabilities and install the supported software/drivers then you’ll need either Vista/7/8 in order to do so. You can download the supported software via Logitech’s official website. It’s pretty simple and straightforward to install and set-up. Verdict The Logitech G930 headset provides very good audio quality, high-end wireless range, better than average battery life, and a retro yet functional design. For a price tag of $159.99, the G930 is definitely one of the best gaming headsets available for your PC.
The Dolby 7.1 surround sound is just an added bonus to all the features that the headset sports. Lag-free wireless connection will keep you in sync when you move from spot to spot within the range of the transmitter. If you need a much more immersive and richer gaming experience then and you’re looking for something relatively affordable, the G930 is the perfect gaming headset for you.
